HIGHLIGHTS:

1/26 - I went to the Lawrence Library in Bristol for a 5-Town Librarians Meeting about collaborating on a grant to bring some great programs to the kids of our area this coming summer.

2/4 - We received a call from Marty Fiske, of the Vermont Library Association that our Library was one of 12 libraries chosen to be in the first VLA calendar for 2012! (I had filled out an application about 10 days before just for the heck of it.) We will be featured as the January Library so that we can have the spectacular Mt. Abe behind us all snow-covered. We will also have an inset picture having to do with technology. I am planning to have the teens record an old-time radio show sometime this spring. We will co-ordinate it with the photo shoot. In October we will be receiving 50 calendars to sell. We will pay $8 a calendar and can sell them for whatever we want. This is a great PR event. I am so excited!

2/7 - Mark was in today with Richard Ruane (our former “tech guy”) to see why one of the patron computers will not print. We are so lucky to have Richard volunteer his time to help.

ACTION ITEM:  Decide on price of the VLA calendars. We can begin taking pre-orders this summer.
