HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Lots of fun programs were held for kids this month: Holiday Workshop (headed up by Mary Apgar with Todd Goodyear as helper), Christmas Story hour, St. Nicholas Party for school aged kids and a visit from the 2nd graders who are presently at Burnham Hall for their studies.

  • I attended a 5 Town Librarians Meeting on 12/7 to choose performers for next year’s summer reading program.  I told them that I would not be heading it up next year.  Betsy Graziadei is interested in heading up the summer program for next summer.  I will inform her of upcoming meetings, etc.

  • Luke fixed our rolling “Book Sale” cart which completely fell over on Dec. 3rd!  He put bolts in the legs to hold the wheels in. He also glued the children’s rocking chair for us.  Thank goodness for Luke!

ACTION ITEMS:

  • Each year the board is supposed to take a look at our policies and sign off on them.  I don’t think we did that, did we?  I know we looked at the by-laws.

  • The end of the year report for the Library needs to be written in early January –by the 10th to be safe.

  • I would like to meet with Walt and Larry for a financial “check-in” in January if possible.
