- Hill Country Holidays
- Library teens will host an outdoor movie Friday evening, (August 5).
- We trustees might host a midday meal on Saturday at Burnham Hall. Mary will follow up.
- We decided not to participate in a local radio station's visit to Lincoln
- Stephen Patterson and Tina will speak about cutting some low hanging branches from our apple trees.
- We authorized Debi to purchase videos with the prize money awarded the Library for Andrew Rainville's video.
Committee Updates/reports noted
Further discussion:
- Grants: We will deposit the $2000 grant (for general operations) from the Vermont Community Fund in a reserve account until we have decided what to do with it. We have one year from the receipt of the funds to spend them.
- Buildings & Grounds: We authorized Tina to give Steve Buker $50 and a card in thanks for his good work on the driveway.
- Finance: Walt led a discussion of our current financial standing.
Driveway and Maintenance
We authorized Tina to purchase from Pike Industries the stone necessary to cover the rest of the driveway and the parking lot.
Major Fundraising Events
Possible functions:
- A warm weather reception at a Lincoln resident's home.
- A dinner at Tourterelle.
- A garden tour of Lincoln homes.
- A winter silent auction of theme baskets. (Mary has given this some thought.)
- A musical get together/concert. (Tina will work on this and follow up on email.)
Volunteer Appreciation Event
A luncheon on Wednesday, August 24.
Next meeting: August 8, 2011 (Not the 15th, as we said at the close of the meeting.)
